I have been taking pics of 4 bucks together for the last month. Was really looking forward to opening morning.
My stand is on top of a ridge and is a opening about 25 x 70 yards. The deer cross with acorns on both sides and there is some clover in it.
At 7am I looked at the far end and the 4 pt stepped out so I stood up and got ready. The 8 finally stepped out at 60 yards.
The 4 came down within 20 yards but the 8 stayed on the other end. After about 15 min. the two spikes came out and headed my way and the 8 followed them.
He came to 23 yards and turned broadside and stopped.
I hit him a little high but knew it was a lethal shot. He only went about 70 yards

I am really lucky that I found this place to hunt. It is only 40 acres but there is no hunting around it. The deer are not pressured and move in the daylight a lot.
I have hunted it for 4 years now and I always see more bucks than does.
Completely different than the club I was in for 20 years.

Lost the privilege of hunting this honey hole 2 days before my vacation started after Christmas. Owners grandson decided he wanted to hunt and didn't want company.
