Time to start the party. I have been getting good pic on camera pulls. Still seeing lots of spotted babies. I will be bow hunting, how much depends on how hot it stays.

I’m here. I do very little bow hunting, but may go a couple of times.

Which one of you is going to be our team leader?

You do realize that making fun of Bigsteve in a deer hunting contest is like making fun of Michael Jordan in a game of horse, don’t you.

Bigsteve is the king of giving deer dirt naps.

We do need a name.... Besides number 1!

I have been shooting my bow, trying to adjust to with or without new glasses. At least pulling it back is not a problem.

Since bigsteve gives so many big deer dirt naps, how about “Team Dirt Nap”?

Ladyhunter, I had to do the glasses thing last year. It’s no fun and I haven’t figured it out yet myself. I still killed deer, but the quick snap shots were more challenging. I hope you get it figured out.

Oh, and bigsteve, good luck in Arkansas, even though you don’t need it.

And finally triple_deuce, with the high stakes like we have in this contest everything is in jeopardy, Bambi and even his little sister.

Plenty of time in the season Steve. If it makes you feel any better I haven’t hunted yet or plan on it for a couple weeks.

No need to push it yet. It's hot, I have not been yet, it's to hot, the skitters are bad. But mostly we still have to many small fawns.

Your right. My rut is after Christmas so all of my does drop late. I try not to kill small bucks and all my does have babies so no rush for me. About the only opportunity I might get early is a doe but she would have two spotted babies w her. Last year I thought I killed a maiden doe till I rolled her over to see a full bag of milk.

Steve, take care of yourself. We can still buy beef.
Went for annual physical Thursday, I missed last year's due to death in the family. They called yesterday, said lab tests showed blood in the kidneys. Have to go for CT scan and some kind of 3 phase test since it was positive. Getting older ain't no fun.

What you mean old, young man. I can still out work, out play and out drink, those half my age. This is just a bump in the road. But if it turns out to be a mountain, you can rest assured that I will damn well climb it.
