Polaris EV vs, Bad Boy Buggy

Okay I just got an EV and this might not be a fair comparison because my BBB is an 08 model.

Range, the EV wins hands down, but kinda by cheating. The EV will go further than the BBB and go faster when running in high range, but not much. But you put that EV in low range and it smokes the BBB at about the same speed. The BBB has 2 motors, the EV has one and is basically a gas ranger with an electric motor.

Ride the EV wins hands down.

Handling, EV all the way. Since you can select one, two or four wheel drive it corners way better than the full time four BBB.

Quiteness, well the BBB even with its little squeaks is quiter than the EV. I think maybe I got a bad one. The one I test drove did not have the whine or clatter that mine does. I am going to investigate and may take mine for repairs.

Price, I paid less for my BBB but I bought it used. I could not find a used EV for sale. If you bought both new today, the EV would win on price.

There is one thing I really do not like about the EV. The winch instalation is very expensive because they want to add two batteries to the front of the buggy. I took a pass on the winch.
I know just enough to be dangerous.

been looking at them , looks real nice but the one thing i like bettere about the BBB is the leg room. I found when i test drove the EV that i felt really close to the steering wheel and didnt feel comfortable because i felt cramped up in it.
They are real nice though.

Did the model you test drove have a louder whine than the BBB? If not for the engine whine I would be tickled with the EV. You felt close to the steering wheel? I bet I feel a little closer :)

yeah the one i drove did but didnt find that it was to loud.
Im 6'1 and 225lb and I felt like the steering wheel was in my ribcage on the one i drove...If it had more leg room or between the steering wheel I probably wouldve bought it .

Same height but got about a 100 on you. I do not have a problem with the leg room. The cup holder is in too low of a position on the EV, compared to the BBB for sure.

Does the ev use an electric motor to turn a cv style clutch setup? Or just a transfer case

I am pretty sure just a transfer case, but would not swear to it.

Eddy I love my ranger! I'm not sure about the EV but there wasn't anything to running dual batteries on mine. I have a 600w amp, fog lights, and other things that was to much for the single battery... You might have seen pics of mine before but here it is.
