Anyone interested in a mount to carry their bow, crossbow or rifle on an ATV (UTV) should check out Howling Hog Marketing (www.howlinghog.com), it's a very well thought out design.

My ATV is coming back from the shop this week and I am in the market for a good bow/gun mount. The $145 Hog mount is way too rich for my pocketbook however. My entire ATV is not worth much more than that!

So...anyone on the forum got some recommendations for other brands of ATV bow or gun mounts that are more affordable? :D

I use one of those gun boots on mine... haven't had any problems with it.

I bought one from Bass Pro a few tears back. Worked great until the rubber started to fall apart. Now I have the ranger and it just lays in the seat next to me.

Ok, let me clear up that 90% of my hunting is bow hunting. Rarely do I gun hunt. And there is nothing on my traditional recurve that can be harmed riding on an ATV rack. So, anyone got any suggestions for a decent, affordable BOW rack?
