Young gun got his first squirrel this morning!!

Jiggs and I were lucky enough to be there and watch Fourthhorseman's young cousin Jacob take his first squirrel this morning! With a little more coaching from Fourth I think Jacob will make a squirrel sniper in the near future. Jiggs did her best in between the rain showers and we managed to get 3 down to her and left a 4th hanging. She made a few dens and we saw a couple flying squirrels. Jacob had never seen a flying squirrel and was impressed with those little guys. We had to cut it short cause of the rain but I think we might have got the hooks in the little man this morning. He wants to go back after them again.

Kids sure do make hunting a lot more fun. They don't show up with a stick up their rear end like most adults do. Tell him congratulations on the first of hopefully many more to come.

Jacob was alot of fun to hunt with.... he has great manners and did everything right with his gun and being aware of other people and the dog.

We love taking kids. They are so fun to watch.

Its a perfect matchup though. Kids like dogs. Dogs like kids. Kids like to shoot alot. Its easy to shoot alot at squirrels. I have been lucky enough this year to got with quite a few young kids and teenagers and I have had a blast every time!!
