The time is here. This weekend will be the handicapped hunt and after all of this work, I will not get to be there. My work schedule has been changed and I'll have to be at work this week. It is being left in good hands, still going on and I expect it to be a big success. Anytime you get to do something special for a handicapped hunter, it is a success. I want to thank those of you that are coming to help out. I am very disappointed I won't get to meet some of you, but maybe it will work out sometime soon.

I exchanged texts with VAHunter. I think they did pretty good this morning.

I got messed up and had to work this week. They switched my hitch so I had to miss this one. I have talked to a couple of people and they seemed to be happy with the way things went yesterday. The Mississippi river pushed us out of most of the good flat places we normally go, so they had to move to the hills. I think that was pretty challenging getting the handicapped hunters in position, but everyone managed it well.

I can't say enough about how much we appreciate the landowners, dog men and volunteers that help with this each year. It amazes me how much goes into putting this on.

Today has me concerned with the weather. I know we have already had a couple of dog men back out because of it. I can't blame them though because I wouldn't want to drive a couple of hundred miles, or more to watch it flood. I'm sure it will all work out though, it always has. Sitting here at work stinks on occasions like this. At least I have a job to come to.
