Dove fields???

Postby chadbragg » Mon Jun 11, 2012 7:54 pm

I was at town with my lil girl and she wanted some sunflower seeds to plant. Well we got 3 packs and they are knee high already. Well between the rains today I bush hogged my "back yard" plot and part of the pasture. I plan to plant some more sunflowers and some roundup ready corn. Anything else you guys plant for the birds?

I have a neighbor that always has a great shoot and festivities opening day and I'll prolly still join him, but he pretty much only shoots opening day. In the past we had our own fields and I shot pretty much every weekend and 2nd season was good too... We always did wheat on ground too. Just trying to figure out something a lil different....

I plant brown top millet in may. Start bush hogging
strips in it the first of August and planting wheat on those
strips. We are usually surrounded by corn fields on 2 sides.
We usually have some great hunts
