Thats a good idea. Im pretty simple as I will only need 45-70 ammo during all the gun seasons. I may sight in my 30-06 for a backup rifle for shooting from the front porch.

I will be in charge of toilet paper. :D

I'm sure we could change it to LAIR, if DEN is too confusing for you.... :P :P :P :P :stir: :stir:

congrats LG!!!!!

I didnt get to whack any deer @ Twin Oaks. The weather was just terrible monday, the deer were moving but I just wasnt in the right spot. It was a good learning experience for me. The weather really was hard to scout for me though. I've never hunted any large oak timber so it was a whole new ball game, only thing I've ever really hunted has been pine plantations. I can't wait to try to go back next year though!

I did manage to whack a 75lb sow on Tuesday! Put a stalk on her from about 100 yards away and slipped in to 38 and let an ole rage tipped axis fly! She was quartering away a little and the arrow hit about an inch left of where I intended but it still hit the edge of the right lung and almost centered the left lung. It was a fun for sure! I'm kind of hooked on pigging now!

Can you believe she was in bed asleep when i came back in with the deer at 10:30? I thought about waking her up to take the photo so i could be in it. Then thought better of it. :D

LG, you should have woke her up and told her it was time to cut meat and vacume seal. Sometimes you just got to man up. :-) :-)

First morning at canemount is a bust so far. It probably didn't help that I was a little late getting in the stand. It took me longer to get situated than I expected

I'm sure I will regret the move I DID NOT make today. I passed on a 120ish 8 point. He had tall tines but he was iffy on the width requirements. He was a solid 3.5 year old and ide lean more to 4.5. Ended up seeing 2 does and 2 fawns with a 1.5yo 4point then came a 2.5 6 and 8 point then the big 8 and a little 3 point and finally a spike
