We had a pretty good this morning off hwy 35 between Batesville and Charleston. But, I think Jiggs got hit by a snake on the way out.

She has been begging/eating and trying to get in my lap...I am taking those as good signs. She sure does look uncomfortable though.

It was pretty at the lake last night.

We went to the seafood boofay right after I took this pic. VaHunter and Fourthhorseman embarrassed the snot out of me. They acted like they had never seen food before.

Hate jiggs is hurt. We had a dog a few years ago that went in the grass on the backside of the pond and yelped. Came out and withen 15 minutes layed down on the pond levee and went into a coma. I brought the dog to the house where it died about an hour later. Donno what bit it, but it was fierce.

Jiggs isn't as swollen this morning but she does seem tired and icky feeling. Hope she recovers soon. My first experience with a snakebite and I feel awful for her. Besides the antihistimines I don't know what else to do.

Bullie, I hope you dog pulls through. Sounds like she's on her way to recovery.

That's a very nice photo you posted.

Thanks Ironwood. I think she will be fine. She went outside with me earlier and hunted the yard. Looks like she is getting back to normal.

Moon lake is a pretty place. I have taken a couple of decent pics there...considering I was using my phone.

I imagine a snake bite takes several days to get over.

Hate that that she got snake bite, they where out everywhere Saturday. I saw about six on the roads and managed to run over and kill three of them, a copperhead and two cottonmouths. We heard a lot of shooting over on Malmaison that morning from squirrel hunters.
