needed rain

Postby huntall » Fri Sep 20, 2013 4:42 pm

Raining good in Rankin county at my house. I hope I got or will be getting rain on my plots in Lawrence county. I planted last Saturday.
It would be nice to have some much needed wide spread rain over the state to get some moisture back in the ground!
I still have 2 plots to do, but was waiting till after we get some rain to do them.

Yall getting any rain yet?

I almost didn't plant last weekend because it was just powder when I broke the ground up. I went ahead and planted, but made sure it was covered so the turkey would not get too full!
My brothers club has a work day planned for tomorrow, but don't know if they cancelled or not.

Getting/already got a good rain in chickasaw county. I'm happy, and I'm sure my plots are happy too!

It will be hard for any area of the state to NOT get rain out of this system. I'm glad to see it. Hopefully the cooler fronts will start moving in behind this rain on a regular basis and fall will get off to a good start. I'm ready for some cool weather and a couple of foggy, misty cool mornings one day soon!

The rain has been hard at times, steady at other times, but with breaks for a while here in Hinds County. More hard rain headed this way shortly however.

We got 3 of our bigger plots planted yesterday before the rain started. Then we got about 5 inches of rain over night.

Planted my small plot last weekend, good to have the rain. Wish it was earlier in the week and not the weekend:(

Planted mine Thursday and got a slight shower on them that afternoon but was loving that long slow rain we got here in Warren county from Friday to this morning.

Hoping that gets things jumpstarted!

We planted before, during, and after the rain. We got 12 plots done this weekend. Just got home- kinda tired but very satisfied.
