2013 Hilltop Plot

Postby e_smith06 » Sun Aug 25, 2013 5:56 pm

This is a 5 year old plot that we decided to expand for this season. Almost tripled the length of it. I will post photos of our progress.

It wouldn't do for me to have access to machinery like that! I get fussed at for what I do with a 35 horse piece of junk tractor. You have it looking good.

Nice looking plot! What you gonna plant?
I'm gonna wait at least two or three more weeks to plant . That way it will be less chance of army worms.

Thanks! I'm planting a mix of wheat, oats, marshall rye, winter peas, and clover.
Hopefully have them in the ground in a week or two.

I do. Several yearling to 2 yr bucks. Bunch of does. This will be year 2 of management. Got one nice 3 yr old buck that really needs another year. I'm gonna take out my 3 does then re-evaluate the population.
