I'm going to have to forward that one on to my dad, if you don't mind.

Before they logged that place out, however many years ago, there were some pretty big deer killed there. Probably in the 130's to 140's class but it went downhill when the fella that used to live on the property moved in.

I have a feeling there are a few good ones left around. I've seen almost nothing but bucks every time I've been. Dang place is so thick you've got to hunt hard. I believe we'll start seeing more later in the season now that pressure is up all around (they'll come to the cover). The guys on the west side sure do a lot of shooting.

Yeah, it is thick. I think that's why my dad and his friends never saw anything, they didn't really hunt the west side much because it was super thick over there. They're wayyyyy too lazy to put that much work into it.

Must be some different folks over on the west side now because the old guy that owned the place was the ONLY one that hunted it. I don't think the Pope could've gotten permission to hunt there.

There are several guys that hunt over there just about every weekend. I have a stand just inside the line over there and watch 'em come and go every time I'm over there.
