I would LOVE to have a 45/70 whelen
Personally, I think with the accuracy of modern day muzzleloaders, we completely omitted what muzzle-loading season was designed to do, and thats is to let the rut happen without a lot of hunters in the woods with high-powered rifles. Heck, you could hunt just about all season with a muzzle loader and still have about the same chance as you do with a .270
I think we have so many deer now, muzzle loading is more like a "tradition" than a management need.
