What's your "truck gun"?

Postby patinlouisiana » Thu May 29, 2014 3:35 pm

Thinking about getting a handgun just to keep in my F-150
what do some of you carry and where?

My "truck gun" is the one I always have on my side. I don't leave a pistol in the vehicle for some thug to break in and steal. I carry a smith and wesson shield and sometimes a smith and wesson bodyguard

I keep my Glock 20 10mm in my truck at all times. It's loaded with 16- 200gr double tap hollow points. If there is anything on this continent that can take them, I'll let it have my truck!

It's against the law over here to leave a gun in a truck , you have to carry it with you 24/7.

For me the 1911 is it.

My main carry is a Taurus PT740.. Its a very reliable gun, but not so expensive that if something happened to it I would be terribly upset..

those places wouldn't be some of the more beautimous parts of Memphis would it? :W: I used to work in the warehouse at the bottom of the hill from the Mack Truck dealer on Crump so I know of some of those parts.

It's good, gettin better everyday. Don't have my full range of motion but Doc says I'm doing better than expected and it will continue to improve for a year or so.

Oh, and my favorite truck guns are an xd40 and Sig p238

My new pistol is not in my truck just yet. I'm still looking at security options such as Gun Vault's Bio Vault that mounts on the side of the console and has fingerprint reader like the one on my night stand. or one with a touch pad combo like my wife has in her book shelf. We still have some young ones around from time to time (grand nephews and such).
Can't be too cautious these days.

Same as chad other than ammo. I keep mine loaded with hornady 180HPs. I'm looking to order some brass so I can make up my own little recipe.
