suppressing a .44 mag

Where could I get my New England .44 mag barrel trheaded and a suppressor, where and/or who would be the best for this. I want to use this gun as a hog gun and to let my wife and daughters start deer hunting with it also.

I would contact Birdsong in Florence MS. I know they do excellent work and could point you in the right direction to get started in any legal paperwork and such.

For a suppressor to work right the round you shoot has to be sub sonic.
That means keeping the bullet speed to around 1000 fps.
That's not a problem if you handload your ammo.
If you do decide to suppress it and Don't reload give me a shout, I have all the stuff and a Chronograph to check the speed.
Good to see you back on the forum DW :D

Bowie Outfitters in Baton Rouge has a sign up "Ask us about suppressers"
I would assume the one in Natchez has the same?
