Question For The Chefs

Postby terry08 » Fri Nov 06, 2015 7:18 am

Can someone tell me what this is?
Hint; It is fantastic drizzled over sweet potato fries, on pork of any kind and would probably be great drizzled over gtk's, chicory venison.

Terry I know what it is but I'm not saying because that would be cheating :)

That's OK jv. It's a balsamic vinegar and honey reduced down to a syrup. It is fantastic drizzled over sweet potato fries.
1 cup dark balsamic vinegar
2 Tbls honey
1 Tbls real butter

Bring vinegar and honey to a boil stirring constantly, after about ten minutes add the butter, reduce heat if necessary, keep stirring and be careful as it thickens to not burn. Should reduce to 1/3 cup.
Can refrigerate up to 4 days, reheat in microwave, add a couple tablespoons of water if two thick.
