New Years Meal

Postby terry08 » Fri Jan 01, 2016 1:33 pm

Since Sherrie, now has the crud. And I am feeling a little better. The meal must go on.

Pinto Beans & Ham

Cabbage & Sausage

Frozen Smoked Chicken, water is maintained at a perfect 160 degrees. If it starts to rise, I just add a couple ice cubes to regulate. Perfect temp. tastes like it just came off the smoker.

Sounds great Jv, don't know why I cooked, can't taste a darn thing. Sherrie, likes red pepper, in the cabbage, so I put same amount as always. I didn't think about the pepper, in the sausage. She asked how was I eating the cabbage it is hot as heck. I replied you ain't got the full crud yet, if you can taste pepper. I thought it was fine. Lol

Blackeye peas, cabbage, cornbread, and meat loaf made with ground version. Bring on the new year.

I have always had bad luck after eating black eyed peas on New Years. We had homemade pizza. Tonight though, it's venison smothered over rice with pink eyed purple hull peas and more.

Can't say that Black Eyed Peas ever caused me any bad or good luck but love them.
