welp the hinds county lease is gone so I will try to keep track of the search for a new lease ... after bein involved with a place for 15 years 12 of which I had the the lease. Made a lot of good memories there but now its time to start a new chapter...

I am still in my camp so it aint all bad, I just couldn't justify the increase in the cost the land owners wanted on a piece of property when they could make any decisions on the timber. I am looking at a couple of options that are close to the family farm and my house.. That was the nice thing about the lease I had it was only ten minutes from the house and in between the house and work so hunting before or after work was a plus

got a couple prospective place for the upcoming season, going to meet a fellow this week about turkey hintin his 400 acres that no one else turkey hunts

gonna get a key tomorrow at lunch for 400 acres of turkey hunting land no cost just take care of the place and grade the road when it gets messed up a ton of turkeys with no pressure its about to get right

got the key to a 400 acre piece of dirt in Hinds county for turkey hunting only, and the land owner is looking at 440 acres that is next door to him and asked me if I was interested in going in with him.. Sometimes when one door closes the next door leads to a lot better things

worked out a lease on the family farm to keep things legal and all as well as keeping feelings from getting hurt.. 396 acres all to my self and it cost me cutting grass of 8 acres every two weeks of the summer price at 150 per cut which comes out to around 1800 per year....
