I used to make gar balls, but all the folks I know turn their nose up at them. Just because it's gar. Never had choupic that I am aware of. We call them grinnel, and most consider them trash fish. I do know a few folks that eat them, but I ain't one of them.

Gotta clean a choupic live, or the meat is mush. Have bread crumbs, onions, celery all chopped and mixed. Clean 'em, make patties then freeze. Just like boulettes. Or smoke em. Mmmm gotta go fishin soon

I worked with a guy at the fire dept and if he cooked something you didn't eat it then ask what it was, you probably didn't want to know.

Looks like you stocked up at Ramey's. How do you bread your shrimp when you fry it? That looks so good!

I don't buy anything at Ramey''s unless it's a have to situation. I love my Kroger Stores, and will drive the 20 miles to shop there.
I just use the Louisiana Shrimp Breading, in the little bags. Very simple and love it.
