How close

What's a safe distance to get when on an atv turkey hunting. I ask because we had three gobbling on a ridge the other day but could not do anything with them. It's a very long walk back to were they are. The day we heard them we had walked in. Well I rode back there twice since hearing the instead of walking and haven't heard anything

if they only hear human traffic during hunting season, then I'm willing to bet they associate the noise with hunters

I'd say it all depends on the area, birds that get alot of pressure will go silent or leave!

What spooks a turkey faster than anything is movement. ..a hunting buddy and myself have set within 20 yards of turkey and talked in a normal voice and not spooked them.
