It's Tough

Postby terry08 » Sun May 15, 2016 6:47 pm

Went this afternoon to fish. Lost a couple but caught three. Was wanting to do catch and release. And realized it is tough, caught a 3 lb 6oz, but could not get pictures without harming it. Plus the Berkeley Scale, is not back lit, and hard to see. Will be getting a new one this week.

I released it so did not count it with the other two. If we continue this next year, I got to figure out a better system.

Is the name and date not required for entry's? I didn't post my 1st catch because of lack of the above.

Btw I like your system there. That's perfect! I usually keep all bass and release in my pond if at all possible.

Chad, either the fish hanging on the scales, showing the weight. Or a photo of the fish with your name, date and weight written on paper. If you are doing catch and release. Then the fish on scales is the fastest way to get it back in the water.
The problem with the original rules, was you being in the photo. Which was difficult to do while fishing alone. So it was changed to the honor system. I personally trust everyone in the tournament.

This is the picture I was talking about. I also have a closeup of the scales.

That is fine my friend, I just can't read the scales. If you have a better photo that is legible, then by all means enter your catch.

I didn't bother to post before because I thought I didn't have the required information! I'll know next time, thanks for the clarification! Btw looks like I need to come down and hit your lake up!
