Sherrie used a venison roast, she found in the freezer. It was delicious.

Greg, this is the Mississippi Chuck Roast recipe. But just as good with the venison.
One package of ranch dressing mix
One package of McCormick Aju mix
One stick of butter
Five pepracini peppers
And whatever veggies you wish to add.
No water, just sprinkle the seasons on top add the stick of butter and cook on low 8 to 10 hours. Delicious

Chad, I use the Zesty Italian, for Italian roast beef sandwiches and add a whole jar of the peppers. But for roast and potatoes, we love the Mississippi Roast recipe.

I'm gonna give it a try. Last couple of years I ground everything for burger/sausages. This coming season I plan to keep a few roasts.

Yesterday the wife cook a deer roast down w garlic and onions with brown gravy. Homemade macs and buttered carrots. My belly hurting after that fine meal. Oh almost forgot toasted garlic French bread and cucumber and nator salad in olive oil and vinegar. I must be doing something right at home haha.

I must say, that you need a good cut beef roast, for the recipe. When using beef, we use English Roast from Kroger. It turns out fantastic. Have tried non choice beef and it does not work well.
Venison always turns out great, so it must be choice like Kroger meat.
Just goggle, Ms Roast and enjoy.
