Postby bigsteve » Mon Aug 08, 2016 7:52 pm

Was shooting my bow today and had a bad. Burning sensation. In my left shoulder tore my rotator cuff again may be crossbow hunting again we will see doc says shooting .my compound this year doesn't look too promising we will see he told
Me two years ago I would never shoot a bow again I'm only shooting 45# now and I have to struggle to draw it back it may truly be over. I pray it isn't

Your body is telling you it is time to go an easier route. Better listen or risk permanent injury.

Well the mri confirmed torn ligaments will not be bow hunting with my compound so I'll just have to use a crossbow going to wack some any way thinking about trying a recurve limb crossbow something new can't hurt I was really bummed out last year but not so much this year I have had a wonderful bow hunting ride for many years killed some really good deer I thank god every day for the blessings he has let me enjoy and the ones I'm about to enjoy this upcoming season age is an enemy on the body I just hope I can enjoy this sport for many more years with the crossbow

I am sorry to hear you are hurt again. Unfortunately as we age we often have to adjust to new limitations. Use the crossbow and enjoy being able to hunt.

I messed up my shoulder 2 years ago and had to go the crossbow route to keep bowhunting. I also shoot an Excalibur . Mine is the Micro 335. It's a wicked little beast. Good luck Steve.

Hate to hear about your shoulder problems again Steve, go ahead and hunt with the crossbow and let that shoulder heal. Good luck.
