Hope it gets better for you....sure hate to hear about some of the deer dying off, that don't sound good.

I have had slow starts in the past but not like this there just isn't any sign food is there no deer this is the downside of management when the deer over shade the habitat mother. Nature takes care of itself we have seen 30+ skellitons in the woods. Last year I saw 24 bucks the first week this year 1 I'm glad I elected to pass. On him they will come back it will take a little time Chad I will get them in time we will find some got plenty of land to hunt and we are portable I learned a long time ago to adapt and overcome

Tough week

Crazy that the ehd is that bad this year being a wet year. Generally drought years are worse. I've been told that ehd shows itself everywhere, every year but may not be noticeable in areas.

I've hunted oos the last four years where ehd hit hard, and had some effect the following years. It's so bad up there w herd numbers we decided to give it a break for a few years.

we had a bad ehd breakout about 6-7 years ago.. We found several skeletons that bow season. Mother nature will take care of herself if we stay out of the way

It has been wet in some areas but extremely dry in others I have seen end take 80% of the herd in Tenn just north of Corinth about 15 years ago it almost destroyed the herd but it came back I think with all the stress from high water levels played a big part in this incident
