Nice one. How often do you check your cameras?

First time I checked this one in two weeks but usually I will check them weekly or sooner in cooler weather when I hunt more othen. I checked one yesterday that I had ed checked in about two months and it had over 1200 pictures on it but mostly hogs and a few smaller deer.

I just put out a few. I've been lagging on technology in hunting.

I will probably pull mine out of the woods around about the middle of November.

Really don't have a reason...this is the second year I have been using camera's, started off with one last year and now I have 5 out.
Does everyone one else pull there's out or leave them out all year?

I leave mine out most of the year. Usually pull mine in Feb and put back out in July or August.

I plan to leave mine out all year I guess. They don't do much good in the closet...

Re: Pulled cards after morning hunt
I leave them out year round, though I often change locations. But doing so takes a toll on them. I am having issues with several this year.

Re: Pulled cards after morning hunt
If I left mine out all year, I would probably be buying new ones every year.
Because I would not remember where I put them.

Re: Pulled cards after morning hunt
I went to check a couple of areas where I had cameras out last year to see if they were still having activity this year. I took 2 trail cams with me in my backpack to put them up. Imagine my surprise to find both of my trail cams from last year still on the trees where I had left them! They were off, and without cards, but when I turned them on the batteries were still good! I remembered that I had taken the cards out after a hunt with the intention of bringing some in the next day, but I wound up shooting a buck out of another stand the next morning and I forgot all about them after DavidT came up to help me track him, and I wound up spending a considerable amount of time looking for him.
I had been wondering all summer where that darned 4th Stealthcam had gone!!

That's what I do. I've gotten some pretty cool shots during winter, plus I like to see what's still out there after the season ends.

My husband informed me last night that I have a cam on a tree at the barn. Forgot about that one.

Well looks like y'all have talked me into leaving them out a little longer anyway.

Re: Pulled cards after morning hunt
Well, I actually decided that perhaps it isn't a good idea to leave them out all year to keep them from wearing out too fast. We changed each other's mind!
