What is the truth about transporting game

Postby patinlouisiana » Fri Dec 02, 2016 2:03 pm

I hear one person say the got their deer taken from them, then another says the regulation didn't pass. Anyone here know for sure what it will take for me to bring my harvest into Louisiana?

I would like to know as I hunt in Louisiana and have to travel through Mississippi to get home in Louisiana. I did see a cop that pulled over a truck and guy was in Camo w la plates and cop was searching his vehicle last Sunday coming home from the camp.

Yes your right. So many laws, it's hard to keep up with the changes.

When I hunted MO I believe it was their law that stated deer had to be deboned.

From Louisiana's Enforcement Division.

Pat:

As long as you have the possession tags for the meat, then you are fine with bringing deer in from Mississippi.
