Whats happening in your neck of the woods ?

Strange Sight

In the woods this morning....saw a buck running through the woods but the strange thing was it had a doe chasing it .
Everytime the buck would zig sag one way or the other the doe would too. Later on this afternoon a hunting buddy killed it in the same area.

Hahahaha

Last year I took my daughter on her "first" hunt. I explained that the rut was in full swing and that if we saw a doe, a buck would be close by chasing her. I left out the details.

There's an old doe on the place that's been there for years. Does probably 6/7 my guess. She's an honorary old gal.

Anyway, a decent 120" 8 walks into the field about an hour before dark. When we left, she was hot on his heels and hadn't been cutting him any slack for close to an hour!

I'll never forget my daughter looking at me and asking "now daddy, which deer is suppose to chase which deer?"

She gets bread every year. Been watching her for several. Just weird.

Nice buck btw
