Missing Deer

Postby USAFdeerhunter » Thu Dec 29, 2016 2:04 pm

For Months I averaged 150-200 pictures a night on my game cams, and usually see numerous deer while hunting. In the past 10 days I am getting 20-30 pictures a night and zero of them are bucks. I've got new scrapes and tree rubs in the past week, but no sightings or pictures. If you happen to see several deer in a group, please send them back my way. They will be easy to spot they have brown fur, fluffy white tails, and about half of them have really good bones on top of their heads. Reward if returned unharmed!

They are definitely rambling now. I just drove 50mi down hwy 45 to tupelo and saw 7 dead ones.

I may try a few more times. But I am not expecting anything to happen.

I opened my gates and most of them have left. I waited for a south wind in hopes they'd smell Terry's corn and go his way!

I'm definitely not getting the bucks on camera like I was earlier in the season, but as I recall, last year toward the end of the season, I got quite a few pics of several good ones in the daytime.

It never fails down here, the last week of Jan thru Feb I get several pictures of bucks I didn't even know existed. Once that rut kicks in "your" bucks may be miles away and "someone else's" bucks will move onto your ground.

I can't complain, we have 3 deer in the freezer, but man I haven't had a decent buck on camera in a few weeks now.
