Road Ranger, you said he didn't feel the recoil on your .270 WSM? Why not go that route, its a gun capable of 300 yd shots?
I have a Weatherby .270 with the wood stock and the gun has little recoil at all. My sons been shooting it since he was 13. The heavier wood stock helps with the recoil as well.
Whats happening in your neck of the woods ?

10-4. I guess I havent seen many. I bought a used one a couple years ago and I got what I paid for, ha . The gun looked like new but so far I havent been able to get it to shoot very well. I like them also especially after replacing trigger spring.
