Whats happening in your neck of the woods ?

Proud poppa moment....

Postby chadbragg » Sun Dec 10, 2017 9:04 pm

My girls were in the Nut Cracker this weekend so i didn't get to hunt this evening. Jr wanted to go so he took my ranger over to one of the properties we hunt a few miles from the house. I got home and fired up the grill and cooked some fresh deer bacon burgers and he wasnt home around 6 i was getting a little worried. He finally pulled up and instead of pulling around back to the shop he pulled up in front of the garage. He came to the door with a huge smile on his face! He killed him a nice 7pt! This was the 1st deer he has gone and killed on his on. He even chose the stand to hunt. When he got home i had burgers cooked. When we got finished eating he asked me if he could skin it. Sooooo i got to stand in front of the heater with a beverage while he did the work! ImageImageImage

Tell him I said great job... I still remember the first time I picked my own stand location and my brother helped me put up a stand and cut a few lanes. The very next morning I shot a stud of a 7 point” for me at the time” and I was fit to be tied. It’s a great first.
