He shrunk a little when he hit ground, but he’ll eat fine.

Thanks y’all. I don’t normally aim for the neck, but that’s all that was visible and he was walking away. I was on the ground looking at one of my camera cards. (I do like that Common Hunter card reader.)

Great deer flipper. Y'all have great genetics up there. I can second the common hunter card reader.

Congratulations, fine buck. Jeremy said they were shooting all around him Saturday. He saw does and got another buck. Looks exactly like the one last week. Big body but bad rack, don't know what's happened to our good ones. At least he is seeing plenty of deer.

He did see one good one last week, but couldn't get a shot. As soon as it crossedthe fence line, boom boom.

It's really an off year for me. Not seeing the bigger bucks that I expected to and not nearly the crazy chasing that usually happens on my 3 days off. I have gotten a couple of nice ones on camera, but I'm not even seeing the scrapes like usual. Rubs, yes, but not scrapes. I've only heard one buck grunt. That's crazy bad for me at this point. That said, I am sure happy to have the meat.

Jeremy, isn't seeing scrapes either. Only rubs, but their tarsels are dark and smelly. He has seen more in two weeks than I have seen in two years.

Very nice buck!
Did it drop like a rock or run some?
I've never had the nerve to try a neck shot.
