I generally cut and grind my own but this year I dropped two bucks off to these guys and had some ground but most made into smoked sausage.

They make the best sausage I have ever eaten......60% deer 40% pork.

SW MS.............

Centerville MS

VINES grocery/restruant/and mat processing.

HWY 24.

I used Tony's in Pope MS right south of Batesville.

Price list shows $56.00 process whole deer into steak & burger
add $20.00 to skin
add $5.00 to gut

they have sausage and that's what always ran my prices up.
they have quick turn around but i wasn't very satisfied with my ground meat last year. everything i got seems to have a twang to it

Anyone in the Hattiesburg, Purvis, Lumberton area should go to Jack's Seafood in Purvis. Smokes the suasage and puts it in a airtight bag for you. The best deer sausage i have ever had. Charges 2.50/lb for finished link sausage and less for pattie. Got all of the quarters done half link/half pattie sausage for 52 bucks.

Noticed a few people use sansing's in mathiston. Several years back it took them along time to get it back. Summer sausae & smoke sausage is great!!! I use local guy who can only hang 8 deer at atime.... kind of a buddy deal..............to do burger and cube steak. this has worked out well. he says most all big processors mix the meat to have bigger batches of sausage products. So I started taking my deer to sansings before rut & dog season for sausage. this year they had mine ready within a week & man its good!!

You guys realize you can buy the stuff to make sausage and stuff for about what you pay to get a couple deer processed, right?

There is something pretty cool sitting down to a pre-hunt breakfast with deer sausage you took from a live critter to your plate by yourself.

Come on guys, if you ain't got time to take care of the meat, you ain't get time to hunt. I can remmeber being up most of a Sunday night getting meat ready cause I had to work in the morning.

Besides I can buy a tank and a half of gas for what it takes to get one deer processed. That will take me on several deer hunts.

Jackson has several options but I choose to use the outfitter or vans.

I didn't see this one listed.

Byhalia Deer Processing
Logan Dean. 901-299-8505
on old 78 hwy about a mile west of byhalia rd.

He's done one deer of mine and has another now. Really nice guy. Prices are a little steep at times. $59 basic package, $15 to skin, $50 to gut.

Is it just me or has deer processing prices sky rocketed over the past 5 years?

I paid $208 to have a 185lb buck ground up in link sausage. They also cleaned and cut horns off too though.
