Just ordered a Uberti 45/70 buffalo rifle . Can't wait to try it.

Nice...I imagine it'll sure beat cleaing a smokepole. I used the new law to help me find a good deal on a muzzleloader. I bought an Omega with the thumbhole stock.

I hate using a muzzleloader. Can't see what happen when the deer runs off after the shot bacause of the smoke. Many times you don't have a good blood trail and I hate cleaning them. May put my Encore 45 caliber up for sale. :)

I really want one.. About what price range can you find one for, and what does the ammo cost ?

The Uberti I ordered sells for $900. H&R or New England Firearms sells one for about $325. Bullet sell for about $26. I'm going to get my gunsmith to reload some 45/70 bullets for me with a muzzle velocity of about 1900 fps
