my new trail camera mods

Postby lugnut » Wed Aug 23, 2006 7:40 pm

i worked up the costs that i will have in my next 2 trail camera mods.

for my s-600 sony

camera-$100.
yeti board-$40.00
glass circles-$3.50
pelican 1060 case-$15.49
pir lense-$2.50
total-$161.49 (this doesn't include shipping on items purchased)

on this one i may also have to pay 35.00 for someone else to hack the camera (s-600 has small soldering points and i'm not that great at soldering)

p-41 camera mod

camera cost me $145.00
same as above $61.49
total $206.49

not bad seeing how these cameras blow a $400.00 cuddyback out of the water as far as picture quality goes :D

From what I've read, they also take a lot more pics than the cuddeback.

I will probably end up trying the S600 next. Unless someone discovers a newer camera with quick shutter times soon...

The P41's are getting expesive on Ebay !

i think the camera that sony's going to make in the future will have extended lenses and be slower than the p41. i definatley think the best camera's will always be the older ones but, we will have to wait and see.
