Ready To Ride

Postby FireCloud » Mon May 24, 2010 8:30 pm

This little guy must work for Geico Insurance, cause he climbed up on my ATV like he was about to drive it off! Got his photo just before he left.

These critters are pretty leery of me so I am really lucky to get any photos of them at all. It's because I keep my kitchen window up a lot at night. They love to climb on the screen and wait until moths come to the window attracted to the kitchen light. But whenever I come to for a refill into the kitchen and see them on the screen, I cannot resist cranking up the sink sprayer and blasting them off the screen with water.

The Green Anole is one of my favorite little critters. With a little patience and a live grasshopper you can have one eating out of your hand. :D Here's a little clip my wife managed to get of me and the Anole.

Neat. How long did it take you to get him to do that?

Lee, it didn't take but a couple of times offering him the grasshopper. They can't resist that grasshopper kicking around in front of them. At first they just grab the grasshopper from the tip of your fingers. It doesn't take them long to start coming right onto your hand to get the grasshopper and taking it away from you.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments on my clip.

FireCloud, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hijack your thread.
