Someone patent and produce

a retractile limb saw that will extend out about 8 feet. Well not actually a saw, I hook. So when you are sitting in a stand you can extend it and hook a limb with the hook which are actually blades. So you can reach out of a stand an cut small stuff that is hanging in the way. Just hook the offending limb and pull the blades will cut limb. Hard to explain, here is a drawing of what I want. Maybe use like a walkie talkie antennae with a cable run through the middle to add strength. If someone makes a killing with this idea, just give me a lifetime supply.

Will it fit in a jacket pocket? I have big stuff for limb lopping before season. It seems that I always have one or two little twigs that will get out in my line of sight during the season. I want something small just to get those little limbs. That is why I suggest the walkie talkie antenna. With a piece of small cable run through the antenna body you could really apply some force and the little v shaped blades would do the rest.

I've seen a garden version of what you are talking about... about 4' long for cleaning off fences.

I've been known to use my strapper and tree saw to "lasso" smaller offending limbs and pull them to me to be pruned.
